Tuesday 17th saw the leading providers of Wedding Services in the Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire regions descend on the Sheffield City Hall for
what was a show stopping awards dinner hosted by I Do Magazine.
The I Do Wedding Awards are in their second year, with this year boasting and even greater attendance than last year, and a huge increase in brides and grooms placing their votes.
A charity fundraiser was held before the awards kicked off which raised a fantastic £1,260 in aid of the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust; who are a UK charity funding medical research into cancer affecting teenagers and young adults.
iCO provided full technical support for the event which encompassed; our new curved custom branded set with inbuilt 12ft by 9ft rear projection screen which provided a fantastic focal point spanning 10 meters across the stage. Audio was managed by our QU16 digital desk, with iPad extension to allow us to monitor audio from front-of-house. Track audio was provided by two laptops, one running stings and walk-on tracks, and the other running background music, we also used a selection of microphones. Lighting was provided by four moving head wash LED fixtures and 16 Par 64 LED cans which uplit the set.
During the food service, we utilised our new social media platform; iCO Social; which displayed tweets from guests who used the hash tag idoawards16 on rotation. By using the systems in-built admin approval system, we choose what was posted to the main screen, meaning no abusive tweets would be displayed.
